Training the next generation of stroke researchers and clinicians has been central to the work of the Canadian Stroke Network since 1999. By leveraging strategic partnerships, the CSN has left a solid set of training programs for the next generation of stroke researchers and stroke clinicians alike.
CSN’s Online Professional Development Courses
In 2011 the Network set out to develop a series of accredited online learning modules for stroke professionals with courses on Rehabilitation, Secondary Prevention, and on Vascular Cognitive Impairment. Work begun on developing the highest quality stroke training material in the country.
In 2014, the Canadian Stroke Network launched a series of specially designed online professional development modules for stroke. The groundbreaking resources consist of FIVE accredited courses that were designed specifically for health care professionals interested in stroke management. The online courses were provided free of charge, and are available from July 2014 to July 2015 to anyone wishing to take the courses.
Hypertension Canada’s Professional Education Program
The Canadian Hypertension Education Program (CHEP) is Hypertension Canada’s knowledge translation program that targets healthcare professionals (HCP) in clinical and community settings, provides annually updated evidence-based recommendations to diagnose, treat and control hypertension.
